Description
If you've never been to a 24 hour gaming marathon, well, its pretty simple. We play board games for 24 hours. Come and leave at any time, although there will be incentives for those that stay a longer period. Donations for FACC will be expected from all participants regardless of length of stay. As the event comes closer we'll have some games listed for play, but lots of it will be impromptu...its a long event, so bring your favorite games! Cash donations and portion of sales will got to the FACC during this event. The FACC's mission is: "The Freeport Area Church Cooperative is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide emergency food, clothing, and shelter to those in need in northwest Illinois and to empower those we serve." The FACC has an emergency shelter for the homeless and the Hope House and Hero House permanent supportive housing programs and serves over 4,000 men, women, and children in northwest Illinois who are in need of emergency food assistance and distributes over 100,000 pounds of food. We will have: free water on site and food available for purchase, maybe a napping corner!
