Description
Freeport - Prince of Peace Lutheran Church invites the community to participate in their eleventh annual Nativity Walk during their Epiphany Celebration, Twelfth Night, on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 4-6 pm. Epiphany marks the end of the “twelve days of Christmas” and is typically known as the time when the Magi (wise men/kings) arrived in Bethlehem, worshiping Jesus and revealing Him as the Messiah to all nations. During this festive event, Nativity Scenes – some even life-size - and other displays will adorn the fellowship area as live music is shared throughout the evening. Prince of Peace invites the community to participate by enjoying the beauty of the displays, some light refreshments, as well as sharing/displaying their own nativities. During the last half hour there will be a brief Hymn Sing. We’ll gather around the piano and sing our favorite hymns. When you arrive at the event, in the spirit of the gifts presented to Jesus from the Magi, please bring a non-perishable food and/or personal hygiene item (ie shampoo, toothpaste, soap) for the Freeport Area Church Cooperative.
