The class fee is $750, due upon acceptance into the program. FHN will offer $200 scholarships to students sponsored by a fire department or EMS agency in the FHN service area. (Any resident of the area, including FHN employees, is eligible for the scholarship.) The registration deadline for the class is 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28. Applicants will be informed of their acceptance (or denial) into the program on Jan. 2.

Description
FHN, in cooperation with the SwedishAmerican EMS team, is offering an EMT-Basic class in Freeport. The class will begin Jan. 9, with Monday and Wednesday evening classes at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport through May 22. It will include a minimum of 160 hours in the classroom and clinical settings, and will require both final practical exams and a final written exam.
