AMERICAN HISTORY LECTURE SERIES BEGINS AT FREEPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY

Freeport, IL, December 26, 2018– The Freeport Public Library will once again be hosting the popular American History lecture series at the library. The six-week series will begin on Thursday, January 3 at 6:30 p.m. There will be one lecture each week, always at 6:30 pm, until the final lecture on Tuesday, February 12. Topics this year include the Coal Wars of the early 1900s; Dorothea Dix and the Age of Reform; and the History of the Great Plains.

Freeport Public Library’s mission is to be the community’s center for Information, Recreation, and Lifelong Learning. It is located at 100 E. Douglas St, Freeport, IL.
